How to join

Come and meet us

Complete a membership form if you like us and decide to join. Complete an EFT payment (or cash to the Treasurer).

You can join as a social member if you want to run with the club but don’t want to participate in races, or you can join as a registered runner to participate in races.

How to become a registered runner

To become a registered runner, you will first need to join the club (you can’t have a Western Province Athletics license without belonging to a running club), and then register with Athletics South Africa:
The Western Province Athletics race number is purchased directly from Southern Striders and Southern Striders will verify your membership and race number on the ASA site.

If you are currently a member of a running club and wish to move to a new club, you would have to contact your current Club Administrator with a request to change your status to "Transfer" on the ASA website.
