Southern Striders Athletic Club road runner members range from very strong ultra-distance runners to slower runners who run to stay fit. There is a space for everyone to achieve their personal running goals.
Come and join our running club in Cape Town. We meet on a Tuesday and Thursday at 18h00 at the Rondebosch Golf Course for training runs. We break into different pace and distance groups, if necessary, to ensure that everyone can enjoy their run (or walk). Training runs are varied with speed workouts and hill repeats during the peak race season (for those interested), and we have a time trial the last Thursday of every month.
Weekend runs are more ad-hoc. Road runners participate in races over weekends, or alternatively they co-ordinate and get together for training runs based on their specific training goals or training programmes, or just to run to stay to fit and enjoy a cup of coffee afterwards. Whichever option you choose, you will be assured of good running company, support and a beautiful running route.
